About me and my therapy practice
I am Jenni and I have been working in Private Practice since 2017 through my counselling service All Ears Counselling.
Modern day life demands of work, family and relationships can at times feel overwhelming. The pace of life may feel too fast with little time to breathe, or perhaps too painfully slow. Decision making can become blurred and it can be easy to loose focus on our own needs. I help facilitate my clients to slow down and take notice of what in their life is affecting their wellbeing, encouraging a growth in their awareness.
I do this by working with a range of different psychotherapies which focus on bringing about change. My aim is to help bring about focus and awareness to where an individual is stuck, and hopefully introduce new ways of thinking and reframing how they see their life and the situations around them. As an Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I am able to tailor my Clients' therapy to suit their individual needs, for example, sometimes I may suggest working creatively if talking becomes overwhelming .
I provide a welcoming, comfortable, safe and private space for you to talk confidentially about whatever your struggles or difficulties may be. I offer complete impartiality and am here to listen and to help you untangle your thoughts.. I believe that everybody has the potential to grow and change. It's possible to get rid of unhelpful habits and remove deeply embedded shame from the past. It is also possible to experience difference through looking at our communication and our relationships with others. Whatever your story is, I'm All Ears.
For the past three years, I have been building my private practice in South Chailey and I currently enjoy working with Adults throughout East and West Sussex across a wide and varying range of issues. In addition, I also work alongside the wonderful charity Oscars Wish Foundation, offering bereavement and counselling support to couples and families who have sadly experienced baby loss, at any gestation, including IVF, miscarriage, stillbirth and neo natal death.
Counselling has been invaluable in my own life and I have personally experienced how supporting and life changing this can be. I began my professional training 8 years ago, qualifying in a BACP approved Counselling Diploma. After working with a number of charities as a volunteer counsellor, I opened in private practice to continue my Counselling career.
My first session
To begin your counselling journey, I will invite you for an initial assessment, which gives us both the opportunity to meet. At the assessment I will ask some questions about your medical and family history and also explain in further detail about what you can expect from your sessions.
This also gives you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have and you are under no obligation to book with me. I encourage all new enquiries to take their time in finding the right Counsellor for them as it's important you feel as at ease as you can.
Working in blocks of 6 sessions, the overall number of counselling sessions will be dependent on your individual needs and will be covered at the assessment.
Counselling sessions with me are currently £50, duration 50 minutes.
The Assessment session is £20 and also 50 minutes.
