About me and my therapy practice

I’m a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with 15 years’ experience in the profession. 

I am also Practice Director of Rutland House Counselling and Psychotherapy Ltd, A practice that is well established and hosts a team of independent practitioners delivering private therapy services to the community and businesses. I feel proud to say that RHCP Ltd will be celebrating its 10th birthday this year.

I am passionate about equality within our profession and feel Therapists should be more valued for the work they do. As such I volunteer as Deputy Chair of the executive of the BACP Private Practice division, and hope to be part of influencing positive change within the profession.

Rutland House Counselling & Psychotherapy Ltd (RHCP) offers a professional therapy service to individuals, couples, children, families and businesses in Leicester and Leicestershire. Our practice is based in a beautiful building in the heart of Leicester city centre and offers a service in a safe, therapeutic, non-judgemental environment.

RHCP incorporates a team of therapists to provide a holistic service that reflects difference within the community. All our therapists bring a variety of skills and experience in their field of expertise and are members of professional governing bodies (BACP & UKCP).

My first session

I offer an initial consultation, which is also an opportunity to assess whether my style of working is for you. My aim is to help individuals and couples address the causes of their problems, reduce symptoms and move forward in life.I can work with most issues including relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and confidence, unresolved childhood issues, abuse, body image issues, anger management, depression, anxiety, stress and work-place difficulties.

I can genuinely say I really love the job I do and feel very passionate about my profession,and most importantly I know therapy is an effective method for positive change. I am a qualified clinical Supervisor which enables me to supervise the clinical practice of both trainees and experienced counsellors/Psychotherapists.

I enjoy making a positive contribution to my profession and I am appointed as an Executive Board Member of British Association for Counselling and psychotherapy (BACP) private practice division.
