About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes, life can feel too hard, and extra support, in the form of talking therapy, can be something that helps. It can feel good to talk to someone about a challenge, and have that person really listen to you. A worry may feel lighter after talking it through, or you may gain a different perspective on things.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor with a Diploma from The Minster Centre, a BACP accredited training programme. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework.

I offer a safe, relaxed, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings around whichever issues challenge you. My aim is to facilitate a new understanding of yourself or a particular difficulty, to travel with you into unexplored internal territories, and perhaps to forge ways of moving forward.

I work with young people and adults from all different backgrounds. Alongside my private practice, I have worked as a counsellor in school and university settings, and for Woman’s Trust, a charity dedicated to recovery from domestic abuse.

Previous to becoming a counsellor, I spent 15 years as a freelance musician. Music continues to be important for me.

An initial session can help you decide if counselling is for you. In it, you may like to tell me what brings you to therapy, and we can discuss together what it may offer you.

Sessions are weekly and last for 50 minutes.

An initial consultation costs £40. Thereafter, I charge £50 per session.

Please email or ring the above number if you are interested in booking a session.
