About me and my therapy practice
I'm a registered integrative psychotherapist based in north London.
How can therapy help me?
The task of counselling and psychotherapy is to give the client an opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more resourcefully. I believe the resources are in you. Psychotherapy is (one of) the pathways to increased self-awareness: what makes you who you are? What automatic patterns are in place? Which avoidance and coping strategies have helped you survive? Perhaps some have served you well in the past but may now be getting in the way of relating and connecting in an authentic way
Who do you work?
Being integrative means I follow a few different schools of training and adapt to my client's needs. I work relationally - creating a trusting and safe relationship is the foundation. An authentic and empathic therapeutic relationship is absolutely at the core of successful therapy. Evidence shows that being able to create trust, making clients feel understood and a belief that therapy can help, relates to more effective therapy outcomes - irrespective of treatment modality emotions.
I will aim to work with you building a relationship that encourages expressing of all parts of yourself - especially previously hidden or unwelcome aspects. Reflecting on the ways we interact within therapy will hopefully shed light on your relationships and patterns outside of therapy.
Ultimately, therapy is a dialogue beyond just words, at its best, it’s true 'attunement'. A good therapist will pay close attention to what you bring to the session as well as what is left out.

My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, go over what brings you to therapy and establish some therapeutic goals . It is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether we could work together.
