About me and my therapy practice
I work relationally, and use a psychodynamic approach.
Put simply, this means that we will explore together the ways in which you have dealt with experiences and relationships in the past so that we can inform the ways in which you deal with experiences and relationships in the future.
Choosing to engage with therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s important to find the right therapist for you.
I work relationally, and employ a psychodynamic approach. Exploring childhood memories and experiences, dreams, doodles, body language and fantasies, you will discover unconscious beliefs, feelings, and world views that have held you back – and in that discovery find more freedom and autonomy, and the chance to let go of unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.
I will ‘meet’ you wherever you are in your journey, and we will travel together from there. We will work together for as long as appropriate to explore what you bring. I encourage face-to-face sessions wherever possible.
If this seems like a good fit for you, do get in touch. I offer a free 30 minute initial session. Thereafter, sessions last 50 minutes at £60 per session.
My first session
I offer an initial 30 minute session free of charge, in which we will discuss your current circumstances, the reasons for your seeking therapy at this time, and how the work might proceed. If we both agree that we want to work together, I will ask you to complete a short assessment form before we begin the work.
