About me and my therapy practice
We have all had a unique and sometimes distressing experience of a global phenomenon. As we step out into our new normal we may need some help to process our experiences and shape our future within this new landscape. I offer professional support through a variety of techniques to deal with immediate feelings of crisis as well as deeper exploration of how historical experiences affect our current responses and reactions. It is important that you feel in control of your own therapeutic journey and I therefore offer professional support and care at your own individual pace.
I am experienced in helping clients to navigate through difficult times whilst maintaining a family life and work balance. I create a place to pause and reflect to enable you to make considered, essential and impactful decisions. My goal is that you feel more alive, more present and more the person you want to be in order to live more consciously, authentically and happily. As a parent and (former) city lawyer I am familiar with the rigours of corporate and family life and I know there are no prizes for suffering alone.
I have specialist experience of managing life-limiting illnesses and bereavement. I am compassionate and caring and committed to the process of counselling.
My first session
In our first session I look to understand why you have reached out for professional help at this particular time. I will ask some questions to understand the context of your current struggles. The most important aspect of our first session will be for you to feel comfortable with me, sharing your thoughts and feelings. Our first session is therefore about establishing trust and rapport before we go on a journey together where I hope to be alongside you every step of the way.
