About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with many years of experience. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and empathetic space where I hope you can feel free to explore your problems and your feelings. I believe that therapy is about change, but change cannot happen without first the thinking and the understanding. Having therapy is a journey of exploration, sometimes painful, sometimes difficult, but also enriching and helpful in managing yourself, your feelings and your future life. None of us live in a vacuum and we are the product of our experiences in life, some of which may have impacted us negatively as well as positively. By understanding how our experiences have impacted us we can begin to move forward and make changes for ourselves. My interest and expertise are in the following areas - anxiety, depression, low self -esteem, lack of confidence, trauma, addiction, eating disorders and relationship problems. Once you have contacted me I will invite you to come for an initial consultation where you can tell me why you are looking for help and we can then think together about the most helpful way forward.

Practice description

My preference is for face to face therapy, however due to the Corona Virus, I will now offer remote sessions, via Zoom, FaceTime, phone etc if necessary.

My first session

If you  are interested in the possibility of working with me, I will offer you an initial consultation of 90 minutes. I do charge a fee for this consultation.

I am a trained psychodynamic supervisor with over twenty years of clinical practice. 

I  can offer individual or group supervision. 

I am happy to offer reduced fees to trainees or recently qualified therapists.
