About me and my therapy practice

Currently I am working online using Zoom and Skype.  I also offer telephone and walking therapy too. I am happy to offer a blended approach which incorporates a combination of these methods.

I am an accredited and BACP registered Counsellor specialising in Humanistic Integrative therapy. My therapy room is conveniently situated in the centre of Nottingham next to the Castle and just a two minute walk from the Market Square. On street parking is generally available.

Please note that in order to gain access to my therapy room a flight of stairs needs to be negotiated.

I take a Humanistic approach because I strongly believe in the potential of each human being and along with this the capacity to change and grow. My approach is Integrative because I draw upon a variety of methods to tailor the personal therapy to meet the unique and individual needs of each client.

At the heart of my therapeutic work is our relationship and hope. I endeavour to provide a calm and confidential environment in which to discuss and explore problems to help you, the client, to overcome them. Collaboratively our relationship will be established over time and will be built on honesty, trust, genuineness and mutuality. I offer the chance for clients to be heard and not be judged.

If you are interested in meeting me for an initial consultation to see if we can work together, please contact me via email or phone. This hour long appointment will cost you £25.

All students are charged a concessionary rate of £42 per session.

Areas of particular interest are: anxiety, grief, depression and stress.

About me and my therapy practice

Currently, supervision is carried out by Zoom, Skype or telephone for individuals and groups.

Supervision is a collaborative endeavour built on safety, freedom, honesty, empowerment, challenge, ethical boundaries and joy. Of course I could mention much more but when injected with elements of creativity and passion, what have we got? A supervisory relationship that helps you, the practitioner, to attend to your client, yourself and the wider system with curiosity and insight.

In 2018 I gained a Diploma in Creative and Passionate Supervision. The end of this training consisted of a five day residential with Robin Shohet in Sicily, giving me the opportunity to study the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision not only from one of the originators but in greater depth too.

I am now studying at CSTD Bath for a Diploma in Supervision and endorsed to work with supervisees at the rate of £40 per hour.  I am due to complete my studies in February and will be increasing my hourly rate to £50.

Using the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision, I will provide an open, safe and non judgemental environment in which to support you to nurture an inquiring attitude towards your work.

Please contact me for a free initial consultation.  I will be more than happy to discuss your supervisory needs and my style of working.

Practice description

Creative. Passionate. Explorative. Supportive. Collaborative.  Supervision inspired by Hawkins & Shohet's Seven Eyed Model.
