About me and my therapy practice
Experienced integrative psychotherapist working online and telephone. I lead a Counselling and Well-being Service in the London area.
Counselling/psychotherapy is a unique way of helping people and a truly amazing process. I feel very fortunate to work in this field. It has been very rewarding to see so many clients discover ways to resolve or manage their difficulties during our work together.
Most people who come to therapy want to make changes and embark upon a journey of personal growth, which may sometimes feel difficult or challenging and at other times feel exciting and enlightening. Throughout this counselling journey, I will be there for you, working with you and supporting you, caring about you and offering you regular time and a calm confidential space to be you and to reflect upon and explore anything which you feel troubled by.
Anyone can need help at different times in life, the important thing is to take the first step and look for help. I understand that taking the first step to getting support can be quite daunting, but I will strive to make the process as simple as possible.
I offer individual therapy on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period of time. I am experienced in helping clients who are struggling with a wide range of issues such as:
Extensive experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Low mood, Parental separation, Relationship problems, Family separation, Self harm, Anger, Bereavement, Abortion, Affairs and betrayals, Bullying, Carer support, Family issues, Miscarriage, Physical abuse, Stress, Work-related stress, Abuse, Bereavement, Discrimination, Domestic violence, Feeling sad, Low self-confidence, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Separation and divorce, Sexuality, Career, Emotional abuse, Low self-esteem, Redundancy, Sexual abuse, Illness and Trauma.
My first session
In the initial Free Consultation, we will discuss your concerns and reasons for seeking therapy. This usually involves asking questions about your background and assessing your needs, as well as what you would like to achieve in therapy. It is also an opportunity to see if I am the right therapist for you, to ask any questions and to voice particular concerns.
When you decide to pursue therapy, a session usually takes place once a week but no fixed number of sessions is required. It depends on your personal needs and circumstances and what you want out of therapy. This can be discussed and negotiated with me in the initial session and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
