About me and my therapy practice
Hi. Do you need to spend some time focussing on your emotional wellbeing? Finding the right counsellor is an important first step. I have a friendly and relaxed approach to counselling. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where we can explore your feelings and concerns together.
Whether you are experiencing feelings of anxiety or distress it is a good idea to share them with someone. This can help you restore and rebuild your emotional wellbeing and provide you with the hope and confidence to move forward.
I help people who are anxious and on the brink of burnout to get back into a more balanced way of life, particularly if those issues are work related. Having been a GP for 20 years I am also interested in working with anyone from a healthcare background.
I work in an integrative way which means I can draw on both humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to counselling alongside some CBT techniques. I am happy to work with both long term and short term clients and we can discuss your needs as they develop. We will review the work regularly to make sure you are happy with the progress you are making. My current practice is online or by telephone, but I will hopefully be returning to face to face work in the not too distant future.
My first session
My first introductory session is free and usually lasts about 30 minutes. It will be an opportunity for you to see if counselling is right for you and to make sure the way I work will suit you. Any further sessions are charged at £45 per hour.
