About me and my therapy practice***Outdoor therapy*** Do you have low self-worth or feel sad, anxious, depressed? Come and feel the value of being supported in a natural therapeutic setting. I have a tranquil therapy studio but being out in nature is central to my work with you, because I believe it offers you the greatest scope for understanding and change. Therapy in nature gives you space to move and connect, physically and emotionally, with yourself, others and the environment. I offer a unique blend of counselling, equine/animal-assisted therapy and ecotherapy sessions, on a beautiful 75-acre nature reserve farm near Charmouth and Lyme Regis.
Outdoor therapy is for any client: I work with adults and young people of 11+ years. Any indoor counselling work is with adults only, though I specifically work out in nature whenever possible. I always work outside with young people, because I find they benefit most when they can move, dance, walk or run during their therapy, rather than sitting still on a chair! I recommend outdoor therapy for everyone but I realise some adults need or prefer to be inside at least some of the time, especially when the weather feels inclement!
I specialise in issues around self-worth, anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, low confidence, social anxiety, self-development, and relationship skills. I also see clients with ASD and ADHD-related issues.
Until 2020 I also volunteered at Arc (Axminster), a local counselling charity with NHS provision, specialising in bereavement, loss and transition.
