About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am Ross, an Integrative Counsellor and Coach.
In terms of how I approach working with clients, first and foremost is building a good working relationship within which we can feel secure exploring and facing your challenges together.
Whatever you bring to counselling, I bring compassion and company for your journey and offer stability through a structured approach to the work.
We can begin with some exploration, an opportunity to share your experiences, increase awareness and understanding around these and reveal the nature of issues you are seeking to resolve. This can help validate or create a clear picture of change you might hope to achieve. By exploring the possible origins of any revealed issues, we can work together on how to reduce the impact or implement change for a better lived experience.
My approach is flexible and takes into consideration how you present for each session. This allows for suitable pace, pausing or stepping back if required. Moving towards any change is only by consent and with a full picture of what any change should look like for you.
I am a private practitioner working online, with some scope for walking sessions. My approach is structured, yet flexible - guided by you and adapted to your personal style, circumstances and presenting issues.
I generally work open-ended with a break every 12 weeks, at the end of each March, June, September and December. Shorter or fixed-term work can be agreed before starting.

I offer a no-fee initial 30-minute consultation as an opportunity to explore how working together might feel.
For those interested in working together, I send an email before our first session with my contract and some general questions for my contact file.
