My approach

I offer an open minded, and non judgemental space  to be able to explore  experiences and issues safely.

I understand that when coming to therapy people want to know that they are safe to discuss "any" issue no matter how embarrassing frightening  or shameful it may feel.

This is why I ensure that my clients know right from the start that as a therapist, I am able to hold any information the client may need to bring that they  find  embarrassing frightening,  sensitive or disturbing,   safely, empathically and without judgement.

I look forward to working together

Rachel 🙂

Practice description

What to expect from me;

All sessions are confidential

I will be transparent and honest in our sessions in regard to Information, confidentiality contract and my knowledge.

No judgement,

You will feel safe to discuss the most worrying, embarrassing  or frightening issues without fear of judgement.

You will feel seen,  heard, valued and understood within our sessions.

At times I use Humour in therapy when it is appropriate. I've laughed through my tears and failings many times.  Humour can bring healing when it is used appropriately and  sensitively.

Sit with the hard stuff

You will be getting a therapist who is able to sit with your pain and struggles no matter how difficult or dark it may feel,  without minimising or panicking.  You are safe to share without filtering no matter how disturbing or difficult it may be.

Personal experience

Despite my down to earth approach, I am well researched and have 24 years experience working in various different settings and roles with people who have experienced trauma, abuse, sexual issues,  mental health, intrusive dark thoughts, drug and alcohol issues,  ADHD  and bi polar to name a few,  along with many others.
