About me and my therapy practice

I describe my practice as relational integrative psychotherapy. In a private and safe space, I strive to listen as deeply as I can, so that I may come closer to an appreciation of your problem, puzzlement, question, suffering or despair. During this time, I facilitate a process where you will be assisted to remember, work through and access your own resources, within the mind, the heart, the body and the soul and finally consider and decide on minor or major changes, new ways of thinking and/or new ways of being.

Therefore, I strife to be flexible and open to each person so that we may collaborate and co-create what best serves the individual needs and for that I draw ad hoc from a diverse theoretical & experiential background whilst I am practicing being present in the moment with each client. This occurs within a core foundation; the immediate experience as it is lived in the therapeutic relationship.

I have faith that each life has each own unique purpose and space in our shared experience, which is waiting to be discovered and lived by each human being. To the extent that each person takes up their true space in their life and live according to it, to that extent the entire planet and universe is benefited and helped as well. Therefore, each individual therapy is a contribution and an investment to the entire humanity.

Some people I work with have prior experience of counselling or psychotherapy and indeed particular types of it (ie: analysis or CBT etc) and some people are experiencing therapy for first time. My service is suitable for both.

In my professional and personal experience of therapy, I believe that what is likely to be helpful sits beyond technique and school of thought or professional status. What is likely to be helpful can be found in the little willingness of the two therapeutic partners to build a relationship of trust and acceptance.
