About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental therapist who engages with clients from all backgrounds to work through psychological distress by collaboratively creating solutions to your unique challenges.
I believe your experiences and struggles are often a result of environmental factors and past events and therefore can be located externally to you rather than feeling like you are the problem.
I use various techniques to work with anxiety reduction in various forms (generalised anxiety, social anxiety etc.), depression, bereavement, trauma, health concerns, gender, sexuality and more.
These techniques include compassion focused therapy, mindfulness based approaches, narrative therapy techniques, solution focused work all with a person centred foundation.
If you want to explore any distress caused by whatever life has thrown at you please don't hesitate to get in touch.
I am currently working on my doctoral research into sexual identity development considering online and offline identity presentations and I use they/them pronouns.
Practice description
I am an integrative therapist using modalities which include person-centred, compassion focused, solution focused, narrative and mindfulness based therapies and breathwork; I am a qualified EMDR practitioner and advanced clinical hypnotherapist.
The therapy will be guided by you, the client, and we can tailor an approach which focuses on the challenges you are currently facing - whether that is anxiety reduction, depression or low mood, working on trauma or whether it is to work through a loss, a health concern or your experiences of questioning gender or sexuality.
I have worked as a therapist in charities, private and public sectors including education and in specific organisations including hospices and the NHS.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced clinical supervisor using the Hawkins and Shohet seven eyed model in collaboration with the Page and Wosket cyclical model.
I have delivered 1-1 and group supervision in sectors including higher education, social work, counselling and psychotherapy services. I work with supervisees and trainees from all backgrounds and at all stages of their careers.
I offer supervision in a non-judgmental, warm and empathic way and enjoy collaborating and supporting supervisees to work through their challenges with all kinds of client work.
Sessions are £60 for 1.5 hours - as per the minimum BACP Ethical Framework guidelines but I also offer immediate support if any crisis, risk or safeguarding concerns arise via telephone, email or online. I also write reports for trainees at their 50/100 hour gateways.
Reduced fees are available for students/trainees - ask for details
Practice description
My approach to supervision holds its foundations in the Seven Eyed Model and Cyclical model as I explore with supervisees in a non-directive way what is going on for them in their current client work, how their experiences have influenced their work with clients and ways to move through any blocks or challenges you may be experiencing.
Depending on where you are in your therapeutic journey will depend on the level of support and guidance you require during supervision - trainees will need a little more direction than those who are qualified and are more used to the supervision process.
For me supervision holds within it a space for learning and exploring personal experiences but it is not a formal educational setting or personal therapy. It is a place where we both engage to get the best outcomes with the client at the centre of the work.
I am a big believer that only the supervisee and the client knows what is going on in the space - and even then the experience is subjective - so supervision is supportive, curious and exploratory.
I work to the ethical framework and believe in transparency. Supervision is not a space for criticism and shaming, it is a constructive and supportive time where I want those I work with to feel heard, not judged and valued.
My first session
I offer a free no pressure 30 minute consultation to explore your requirements and see how we might work together and what I offer fits into your needs and how you feel we would collaborate as a supervisory team. It is a time to ask any questions you may have.
The first full session will be spending some time working on the supervisory agreement - as standard - before we begin any client work.
