About me and my therapy practice

Supporting people in a non-judgmental, empathic and compassionate way is not just a job but a way of being for me, and has been for nearly a decade of work as a therapist.

It is really important to acknowledge when we need support, and recognising there is no shame in reaching out when we do. I truly believe we all know what is best for ourselves, but have lost connection to our source of strength, our resourcefulness and intuition.

Over time people become convinced they can't rely on their decisions because the world tells them they aren't good enough, other people state they know what is best for us, that we are wrong and can't rely on ourselves, saying things like, "I told you so..." or giving other unhelpful and judgmental feedback.

If you want to change, if you are tired of destructive patterns, poor relationships with yourself or others, if you are sick of feeling anxiety or of not being good enough, get in touch to start your change today.

Practice description

I have experience in a variety of sectors including charity work, bereavement and hospice services, children and young people, in the NHS and education sectors. I worked in emergency medicine for over a decade before moving over to talking therapies.

My approach to client work is creative and unique, integrating various modalities and practices to suit your situation to help rebuild reliance on yourself. I utilise more practical types of therapy including compassion focused and solution focused therapies, as well as mindfulness based approaches and breath work. I also utilise more traditional 'talking therapies' such as person-centred and narrative therapies.

I also offer walk/talk therapy located at Delamere Forest in the heart of the Cheshire countryside where the power of nature can support your healing whilst also using the forest landscape to be creative and transformative.

I recognise that everyone is different and some people are "early birds" so offer sessions from 6am.  Given these early starts, last appointments are around 2pm.

The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
