About me and my therapy practice
I hope you will find here all you need to help you make your decision regarding the most appropriate counsellor for your needs, but feel free to contact me if you need any clarity or further information
By reading this you are taking the first step in deciding to address a problem or concern that seems too difficult be confronted alone
I believe it’s essential to find a counsellor whom you can trust, feel comfortable and are willing to share openly. The close relationship we develop really is the foundation and building block of all the work we do together, and I see clients in the following locations – Morley, Birstall and Central Leeds
I offer a safe, accepting and calm place to discuss your concerns. Through our conversations together you will uncover your true thoughts and beliefs, and we will seek clarity on choices and your options and therefore equip you to make more appropriate life decisions. It is important to remember that you must make your own life choices, and I will encourage and support you to do this. I was trained and practice as an integrative counsellor, which is in effect an individually tailored approach to your particular needs. I certainly am not-judgemental and strongly believe that you have the ability to move forward at your own pace, from a place of increased insight and self knowledge
My background is based in Social Care working with children and families. In addition I have worked in two Primary Care Trusts and a Domestic Abuse Organisation, as well as a Leeds based Childrens Charity. I have a degree in Sociology/Social Policy and a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling (both Uni.of Leeds). Also I have various post qualification training certificates (in line with BACP Continued Professional Development).I also currently work with a Leeds based mental health charity, Mind
