About me and my therapy practice
Due to COVID-19, I’m offering online (Skype/Zoom) and phone sessions so that people who are isolated can have mental health support.
Entering therapy can feel overwhelming but your concerns will be treated in a sensitive and professional manner. You will be in control of the depth and pace of our work.
I am an experienced Counsellor and have worked for several years in the NHS and charities. I see people with various presentations: anxiety, stress, depression, unresolved childhood issues, trauma, to name a few.
Reasons for having Counselling
You might have reached a crisis point and started questioning everything – who you are and what you want.
You are feeling unsettled and dissatisfied but do not know why.
You are at a crossroads, unsure of what to do next.
You are trying to come to terms with unexpected events in your personal or professional life and would like to navigate these challenges from an empowering place.
You want to take a deeper look at yourself and your life so that you can live more authentically and not repeat the same mistakes.
What to expect when entering Counselling
When distressed, we lose the capacity to assess accurately our situation and have a sense of direction. I will give you the tools to feel calmer and more grounded.
We will discuss your main goals and how to achieve them.
There is also the opportunity to look at your life journey and identify patterns that keep repeating but you do not know how to change it.
Use specific techniques to challenge deep-seated beliefs that are blocking you from living a more satisfying and meaningful life.
Why Counselling is effective
It can be a life changing experience to look deeper into yourself, and your situation, while having by your side someone with clinical expertise, and emotional intelligence, to help you uncover your qualities and unique gifts.
