About me and my therapy practice

Notice regarding COVID-19: I am currently offering online counselling sessions at a reduced rate.

The current crisis is anxiety provoking and as a result people are feeling that they would benefit from the support of counselling, now more than ever. However, for many people the virus has resulted in additional financial pressures at a time when they are most in need. Since governments have advised we remain isolated with the people we live with, our relationships have been put under increasing strain. It may be that you are self-isolating alone or you are finding it a challenge to share a space with your partner, extended family or flat-mates.

As a result, I am offering online and telephone sessions to new clients at £40 (for individuals) and £50 (for couples) to support people during this difficult time.

* Finding your relationships difficult or unrewarding?

* Feeling stuck in unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours?

* Want to find a way to move forward?

Practice description

What I offer

I offer individual and couples counselling face-to-face, online and over the telephone.

I'm a qualified relationship therapist, so I help people to navigate more rewarding relationships with all the people around them. My clients experience a variety of challenges including low mood, depression, stress, anxiety, low self-confidence, communication problems and a general sense of dissatisfaction.

I see individuals and couples who are in a relationship, considering separation and divorce or who are already separated. I also see people who are struggling to find the right relationship.

I'm particularly interested in family issues and how parenting affects relationships throughout the parenting life cycle.

I have experience working with same-sex couples and clients from a variety of demographic and cultural backgrounds.

My approach

My approach is predominantly psychodynamic psychotherapy. However, I use different methods and favour a style of psychotherapy that is active, fluid and will respond to your unique, shifting needs.

I’ll work alongside you to explore the parts of yourself that will enable you to find a clearer perspective or help you to overcome the difficulties you are experiencing.

I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk about what is going on for you and to think together about how past experience might unconsciously be affecting you in the present.

My first session

What to expect

We'd initially have a brief telephone conversation to establish if we'd like to meet, before having an introductory consultation where we'd meet to discuss if weekly sessions might be helpful for you.

If you're unsure if psychotherapy is right for you, please give me a call to discuss any concerns or queries you have.
