About me and my therapy practice
Does it feel like somethings missing in your life? You enjoy your job and feel fulfilled, knowing that you’re good at what you do but at times you feel anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected. You feel that you should be more confident and in control of your life, as everyone else appears to be. But it’s rarely that simple. Trying to live up to 'how you should be' can leave you feeling confused, worried and stuck as if something is stopping from doing what you really want to.
Perhaps you feel anxious and unable to relax, caught in a web of over thinking, replaying awkward moments on repeat. Lack of confidence and self-belief can put pressure on your relationships creating sadness and loneliness.
Many people feel they need to hide their struggle, their depression and anxiety but this can make those feelings worse. Getting the support and care you need, when you need it most, can bring great relief.
How I Work
I would love the opportunity to hear your story and understand your struggles so that together, we can find the source of your difficulties. The warmth, non-judgmental acceptance and support I provide can help you figure out what makes you feel happy, safe and confident so you can have more of that.
Developing a sense of inner strength and safety can enable trust in yourself to flourish. This can be wonderfully empowering, helping create positive changes in your life and your relationship with yourself and others. I am a UKCP and BACP registered Integrative Psychotherapist. I am also a Lecturer in Counselling and Mental Health at an academic institution. I draw from different modalities, enabling me to tailor the therapy I provide, to your specific needs. I work collaboratively, at a pace that suits you. Clients find that this support and care brings great relief and change.
Practice description
I understand that committing to therapy can be a daunting prospect. So, to make sure I’m the right person for you I offer a free consultation. This is an informal phone call of around 20 minutes to give us the opportunity to talk a little about your needs, the way I work and to check that our schedules fit. I offer in person and online appointments, which gives me flexibility and availability.
