About me and my therapy practice
There are times when everything is so difficult when you feel stressed and worn out. Even the little things can be exhausting.
It can be just so frustrating when things change. Perhaps something happens out of the blue that you can't quite get your head around, and the people around you don't seem to understand what you need from them. Perhaps the person you love, the person closest to you somehow seems more distant, leaving you feeling alone, ignored and sad.
But you don’t have to keep on telling yourself everything’s okay, pleasing others and pushing all your feelings to one side.
Today you may be able to work out what’s happening but sometimes you may need a little help.
Individual therapy and Relationship therapy can help you make sense of difficulties helping you get closer to the people you love.
Practice description
I work with adults, individuals and couples, struggling with change and the impact change can have on their close relationships.
The relationship with a life partner can give us a sense of safety, support and comfort - a secure base of being cared for and cherished. When we experience difficulties in these relationships our connection can falter and emotions can be overwhelming.
Some of my work is centred around couples relationship issues and the impact of life events such as loss, health issues, bereavement, the caring role and the stress of change as we move through different phases of life.
I also work with individuals impacted by change such as feelings of stress, accidents and work issues which can further impact relationships with those they care about.

About me and my therapy practice
Have things in your life become difficult, are you mourning the loss of someone you loved or perhaps struggled to love? Has your relationship lost its way in these difficult times?
Perhaps you're facing a crisis in your health and your well-being suffers each day as you try to make sense of what's happening to you. Change in any part of our lives can leave us feeling emotional loss, anxious and alone, fearing for the future and longing for better times. Wherever you are in your life, struggling with beginnings or struggling with endings, you don't have to do it alone.
I help people like you talk about how their world is affected by change and the feelings of loss that can bring. Here you can talk about your thoughts, emotions and the sometimes unexpected feelings that emerge without embarrassment, fear of judgment or worrying for those around you. I'm here to help you make sense of how you feel.
I believe everyone deserves to be heard, to talk about their personal hurt and pain. It can be hard to ask for help and choosing the right person to help isn't easy, but why not take that first step and make contact today.
I work in person (when possible) online and on telephone and offer weekday and weekend appointments.
There are many advantages of online/telephone counselling:
- You can have counselling if you live in a remote area
- You can have counselling if you are unwell or do not want to travel
- Appointments can be more flexible.
- You can speak to a counsellor outside your immediate area
- You may find it more comfortable and easier to talk online
I believe in creating a counselling relationship for clients with trust at its heart. Why not call today?
