Starting to consider if psychological support may be your next best step can be a cause in itself of stress and worry. Looking for a psychological therapist can seem daunting. What this means about you, who to trust, how it all works. Sometimes our fear of seeking psychological therapy is the greatest barrier to getting the support we need. Caring for our mental health is the single most important task we do each day. It takes a great deal of courage to acknowledge when help is needed and to seek it out. I work with the hope that out of suffering, goodness can flourish; that every client I work with, while using me as a guide, has the capacity to walk their own path to recovery. My goal is to encourage every client to believe in their worth, know their capacity for change and feel so empowered that they are indeed able to make that change. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, all age groups, using several psychotherapeutic disciplines over a multitude of difficulties for fifteen years. I have enormous respect for each of my clients, for their courage and resilience and feel inspired by the progress they make each day towards recovery. My clients reinforce my own belief:

I am a qualified Psychological Therapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and a member of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing UK & Ireland (EMDR UK & Ireland). I have worked for the NHS as a Primary Care Psychotherapist (CBT and EMDR) for over 10 years and am a Clinical Supervisor as well as a trainer to GPs and other Health Professionals in the use of CBT techniques within their practice. I also provide workshops to the general public on stress management. I have full indemnity insurance and engage with regular clinical supervision.
