About me and my therapy practice
For most of us there are times when we need support to deal with difficult, emotional issues. Talking to family and friends can be very effective, but sometimes they can’t help and that may be be because the upside feels too difficult to talk about. This is when recognising the need for seeking professional therapy is a sign of strength and determination to live a productive, positive and meaningful life.
As your counsellor I will provide safe, supportive, empathic, non-threatening environment. You will feel able to talk freely. In confidence and without fear of judgement. You will have the opportunity to explore your feelings and create positive change for yourself.
Finding someone you can trust and feel at ease with is important, for this reason the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client is the key to successful therapy.I would be happy to speak to you by telephone, WhatsApp FaceTime, Zoom or Skype or face to face. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions, explore what it is you wish to gain from therapy and to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
Moving at your own pace I will work with you to deepen your self-awareness and feel more empowered in your life. I offer one to one sessions on a time - limited or long term basis.
I work with as an interpretive therapist and offer varying therapies which include CBT.
My first session
I work with clients in whichever way they feel suits them. Whether it is remotely, by telephone or FaceTime etc, online or at my home. Our first session is when we can get to know each other and to ensure that you feel comfortable and happy to work with me. This is your opportunity to ask any questions regarding your counselling sessions and to discuss the right therapy for you.
