About me and my therapy practice
My name is Jason and I am a fully qualified counsellor with a wide range of experience, counselling a diverse array of issues. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, a body that sets high standards for the profession.I work with individuals and couples in a private and confidential setting at my own private practice in Ongar and also in Colchester, both in Essex. I have also worked as an honorary psychotherapist within the Essex Partnership University NHS Trust (EPUT), where I worked with people with severe and enduring ill mental health.
As a member of the B.A.C.P, I attend regular clinical supervision to ensure that ethical and good practice is maintained. Supervision is a confidential process that is vital for therapists to practise ethically. Your confidentiality is protected at all times.
As well as being a therapist I am also a counselling tutor, teaching adults in their final clinical year or training whom themselves wish to become counsellors. This also ensures that I remain highly active in exploring theoretical models and concepts which further deepens my understanding of the counselling process. I am also committed to continue personal development of which the above plays a part, however, I regularly attend workshops to further my own knowledge to enable me to better support my clients.
