About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor and supervisor with a private practice in Redland, Bristol.
My experience includes working with individuals and families in counselling, social services, health, education and voluntary organisations. I have worked as an accredited counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care, for the NHS in an oncology department and as a counsellor for people with limb loss. I have also worked for Penny Brohn UK with people with experience of cancer and their families.
I have worked in counselling training as a tutor an lecturer at Degree and Masters level.
Counselling can offer different things to different people. It may be that you have a particular problem that you would like to discuss with someone neutral. Or you may be going through a particularly difficult time in your life which may be linked to work, illness, relationships or personal problems which you find hard to talk to others about.
It may be that you have reached a point in your life where you would like some time and space to think about what is important to you and where your priorities lie.
Counselling is not about telling you what to do or giving you the answers. It is about enabling you to find your own way through the challenges that life and the world can present. Our sessions will involve exploring your situation and working together to find ways of gaining new perspectives. I can offer a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on what suits you best, on a short or long term basis.
Please note : I am currently only offering telephone and online counselling due to the COVID 19 situation.
