About me and my therapy practice

I’m a fully qualified, BACP registered Counsellor offering both short and longer term counselling in Hove. I offer a confidential and compassionate setting where we can work together at your pace to help you to make sense of the challenges you may be encountering in your life.

Perhaps you are struggling with a particular problem that you want to understand and find a way through. Perhaps you feel stuck repeating an unhelpful pattern that you want to change. Maybe you are just curious to understand more about yourself. In all of these situations, counselling provides a dedicated and safe space for making sense of things and exploring options for change. Talking to a professional counsellor means sharing your concerns with someone who is unrelated to your personal life, someone who won’t judge and who has been trained to listen to, understand, enable and support you.

My style of working is collaborative and supportive. During sessions together, I can help you to reflect on what’s happening and how you are feeling, and help you gain insight into the relationship between your experiences and the way you feel, think and behave. I believe that by developing a greater awareness of the person we are, we can uncover new ways of understanding and coping with our difficulties and create greater opportunities for change in the direction we want.

I have experience of working with adults facing a broad range of issues; anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, loss and relationship difficulties. I also have additional training and experience in working with gambling addictions and helping people affected in relationships with problem gamblers.

I offer an initial 50minute session at a reduced fee of £20. This session is offered with no obligation to continue, rather as an opportunity for you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
