The purpose of me offering you a 30 min free consultation is to ensure that we are a good match and that I can offer you what you're looking for. I provide Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy. I work in a person-centred way where our relationship is based on a clear contract. In this way, we focus - together - on what you want and need. At the start, it's not always easy to say what you want, and you might not know what you need. It can sometimes be easier to say what we don't (or no longer) want. Over time,  clarity emerges and because we regularly review your progress, we revisit what you want and need. It can also change during our relationship. I am able to work with 'real time' issues that are making life hard for you like anxiety, stress, depression, grief. I also work with crises including illnesses such as cancer for you or someone you're close to. I can share techniques, and helpful ways, to alleviate current distress. I also work with a longer term desire for change. I work relationally and will help you to understand you, how you came to be you, and ways in which you might choose, more purposefully, how to be you with greater kindness and compassion for you.

I offer a 30 minute free consultation online or by phone to ensure that I am the right person for you. If you choose to work with me, our first session will be spent agreeing how we work together. My main question to you will be why you have chosen to seek therapy now. Our contract  will include confidentiality, my ethical and professional commitment to you, regular time slot(s), cost and payment, cancellation and other useful details.
