About me and my therapy practice
As women, our needs evolve and change through the various stages and events of our lives: from divorce, our children leaving home or the menopause. Any of these can leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed and, if untreated or ignored, can manifest as depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Due to my history of working with a charity supporting women with addiction, domestic & sexual abuse, codependency, depression & anxiety, bereavement and loss, I am able to offer counselling support to female clients facing any of these issues. Furthermore, my three years working as a counsellor with Age UK means I have the experience to support clients affected by major life changing issues.
I offer 12 Step counselling for addiction and codependency and for those supporting friends and family in addiction. Additionally, I lead a mood disorder programme at a high profile clinic for mental health, addiction, eating disorders and co-dependency.
The range of my counselling and therapeutic techniques, along with my integrative training, enables me to construct a treatment plan tailored to a client's unique and specific needs
