About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited Integrative therapist. This means I integrate many types of therapies together to help with your situation. Listed below is the types of therapies I use and combine together:
Humanistic approach - Explore in your pace what is going on for you right now and how it is affecting your day to day life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - This is where we explore thoughts (see if they are rational or irrational), feelings (chance to label how you feel to that situation), body sensations (to be able to notice or start to notice how your body is reacting when you explore this situation) and behaviours (explore how you reacted to the situation what it helpful or not). It is an effective psycho-education form of therapy, to help you learn where you maybe getting caught in a vicious cycle.
Psychodynamic approach - This is where we go back into the past and start to make connections on what seems to be coming up for you today, unfortunately we cannot change the past but we can learn from it and help ourselves understand where we maybe repeating patterns.
Transactional analysis - This is where we explore how you relate to others and vice versa through (transaction) of communication and behaviour by exploring your ego states (parent, adult and child) by using the PAC model.
