About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Nicola Benyahia.
I am a qualified Counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
I currently work in Birmingham, offering individual and couple therapy on a long or short term basis within my own private practice. At times it is not always possible for everybody to access counselling services outside of their own home, due to social anxiety, phobias, or disabilities. Therefore Additionally I can offer a home visiting service on prearrangement. I am warm and approachable. I can provide you with a trusting, safe and confidential environment, where you will be heard and feel safe enough to identify and share issues that you are currently experiencing in order to alleviate your anxiety and worries.
I have also gained specialist training in De- radicalisation, family based intervention counselling and prevention methods for which I have set up an organisation ‘Families For Life’.
I hope to create an environment where you will feel heard, understood and seen without any judgement. Therapy is a chance for you to talk about how you feel - I won't necessarily tell you what to do but I will listen to how you are feeling at the moment and try and understand your difficulties so that we can work together to help you feel in a better place and more in control of your life. You will feel very safe. All conversations are confidential. I can offer onsite therapy within organisations such as schools, colleges and offices that are able to provide a suitable space. I am also able to offer counselling session at my counselling practice in East Birmingham. For organisations wishing to refer employees block booking discounts are available.
