About me and my therapy practice
COVID-19 update: At present and for the foreseeable future all of my therapy sessions with clients will be conducted online. I offer a choice of FaceTime, Skype or Zoom as platforms to meet on.
I am a fully qualified and experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
Before moving to work in private practice, I worked in the NHS gaining extensive experience of helping clients who were facing a wide range of difficulties make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.
Examples of the types of difficulty I have successful experience of working with clients to address are:
Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/lack of confidence, relationship issues, attachment and loss, sexual orientation, anger, panic, gender identity, trauma, work/career issues, mortality/bereavement, sexual function, life changes/life events, OCD, men's issues.
I work in a confidential, warm, respectful way to ensure that clients feel safe in their sessions as I believe one of the key conditions for positive change is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist.
I offer a free 20 minute phone call to new clients so that you have a commitment free opportunity to discuss whats bringing you to therapy and for you to decide whether you want to book in an initial session with me.
