Availability
I am available different weekdays during both the day and evening. Like most therapists, my available client spaces change all of the time, so please send me a message to check what availability I have right now.
About me and my therapy practice
I am now an online only therapist.
Having therapy online has a wide range of advantages over face-to-face therapy. You do not have to factor in travel time or the costs of getting to and from your session, you are able to have therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space, and you are able to work with the right therapist for you, not just the closest one.
I offer a free 25 minute Zoom/phone call with prospective new clients so that you have a commitment free opportunity to discuss whats bringing you to therapy and for you to decide whether you want to book in some initial sessions with me.
I am a fully qualified and experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
Before moving to work in private practice, I worked in the NHS gaining extensive experience of helping clients (16+) who were facing a wide range of difficulties make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.
Examples of the types of difficulty I have successful experience of working with clients to address are:
Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/lack of confidence, relationship issues, attachment and loss, sexual orientation, anger, panic, gender identity, trauma, work/career issues, mortality/bereavement, sexual function, life changes/life events, OCD, men's issues.
I work in a confidential, warm, respectful way to ensure that clients (16+), feel safe in their sessions as I believe one of the key conditions for positive change is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist.
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and am Gender, Sexual & Relationship Diversity (GSRD) affirmative in my practice.
If you are interested in finding out more about me and how I work, please visit my website.
Best wishes,
Steve.
