About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page.
I am primarily a person-centred counsellor, however, within this framework I may combine other techniques from various counselling theories, to work in a more integrative way to suit your needs. I provide a safe space whereby you can explore your concerns / difficulties or experiences. By being with you and listening to your story, I believe you will find different perspectives and new ways to look at life. I aim to ensure clients are engaged and committed to the counselling process and are therefor achieving the best possible outcomes from their therapy.
You do not need to be crystal clear about your own reasons or goals for coming to therapy. My aim, both initially and throughout our sessions, is to help you understand this more fully, those areas of your life that may feel difficult, painful, unfulfilled or stuck. This understanding can be useful by itself, but it can also help you to make decisions about those things you may wish to change, and come to terms with the things you cannot change.
I offer face to face as well as online and telephone sessions. you can call or email me in order to briefly discuss your needs.
Sessions are 1 hour weekly, usually on the same day at the same time.

My first session
The first session will begin with completing the therapeutic agreement with you, this includes a section on my confidentiality policy. I will then ask a series of questions in order to get you know a little about you and your needs. The remainder of the session will be spent exploring your initial needs and devising a suitable plan for your treatment.
