About me and my therapy practice
You are at the heart of this process and building a warm therapeutic relationship with you is really important in fact it’s key to how effective counselling can be. What I can offer you is a safe and confidential space, where you can feel comfortable to open up to me about what is going on for you.
I won’t be able to ‘fix’ things for you, or tell you what to do, but I can walk beside you on your journey until the path gets easier or until you find your own answers.
We are all unique and the way I work reflects that. My approach is mainly person centred but I also use other therapeutic approaches to fit the needs of the individual.
Practice descriptionI offer In person, Online and Telephone counselling.
My first session
Seeking help and finding the right counsellor may feel like a daunting experience but you are here - you have taken the first step.
To help you feel at ease I suggest that we speak briefly either over the phone or via email before we start our sessions together. That way you can get a sense of whether you would feel comfortable talking to me, and whether I am the right therapist for you.
Our first session will be 60 minutes as I will go through an assessment form with you but following sessions will be 50 minutes.
Ideally, we will meet at the same time, on the same day, each week for the amount of sessions that we have agreed.
