About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor, able to draw on a number of therapeutic approaches in order to tailor therapy to what is most effective and appropriate to you. Essentially, however, my approach is very much person-centred, working with what you, the client, brings to the counselling sessions. My initial focus is on building a strong and trusting relationship with you, by offering a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space within which to explore what might be keeping you stuck and supporting you in finding ways to move forward.
I offer both short- and long-term face-to-face counselling to adults struggling with issues such as: Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Loss, Personal development, Relationships, Self-esteem, Shame, Stress, Trauma and Work related issues. I have experience of working with a variety of clients, including older adults and those with, or affected by, life-limiting illnesses or conditions. I also have a special interest in working with perinatal issues: infertility and assisted conception, pre- and post-natal depression, pregnancy, miscarriage and parenthood.
I am a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).
