About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and a Registered Member with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Using a psychodynamic approach, I can help you reflect on your past experiences and connect them with current issues— helping you better understand yourself, your thoughts, actions, and the relationships you have in your life.
I offer both comfort and support while working with current issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, or bereavement and traumatic experiences both in childhood and adulthood.
I will offer you a safe space where you can speak freely about your thoughts, feelings and concerns. These issues are reflected within a confidential and empathetic environment, building a safe and non-judgemental space.
I have worked with issues such as child sexual abuse, infidelity, domestic abuse, childhood trauma, bereavement, PTSD, anxiety and depression. My past and current clients stem from all age groups and diverse backgrounds.
My qualifications: I obtained a Master's Degree in Counselling and am currently completing a PhD in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Practice description
Therapy should be specific to your need: I work with both short and long-term therapy and offer weekly, or bi-weekly sessions. I do on occasion take one-off sessions as well.
I am currently offering therapy online, but will be moving to face-to-face work part-time at the end of the year for those who wish to meet in person.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation over the phone to get an understanding of your presenting issues and to assess whether my expertise fit your needs.
The first session is offered at a discounted rate of £40 and will last up to 50 minutes. During this time we will go over who I am and how I work, and allow me to get to know you. We will discuss your presenting issues, what your goals of therapy are and any concerns regarding the therapeutic process.
During the first session we will also go over a verbal client agreement, but a physical contract can be drawn up if the client wishes. This client agreement will cover confidentiality, number of sessions offered, the session price and cancellation policy.
