About me and my therapy practice
The ethos of my practise is to provide best quality treatment, based upon the best clinical evidence within a stigma-free atmosphere and personalised to the individual's needs.
I put people at their ease when talking about sensitive issues in a relaxed and unrushed atmosphere.
Each individual presents with different problems which are unique and require individualised treatments.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and I am included on the BACP Register.
My experience of providing individual therapy to adults in private practise spans over thirteen years and I have worked with young people in a voluntary setting.
I have a special interest in working with adults with ADHD and also a special interest in writing-as-therapy.
Please view my website for further information about my practice and my debut novel about an autistic psychologist.
My first session
My aim is to put my client at ease. Using a person centred approach, I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment. Here we can decide if we can work together going forwards and dealing with presenting problems.
This initial assessment starts the trusting relationship between counsellor and client which is paramount to the work and provides the strong platform from which therapy grows.
