About me and my therapy practice
All of us have felt anxious, distressed, overwhelmed by events which had an impact on our self-esteem, our ability to create a meaningful relationship or create the life we would like to live.
Often, it might feel too much... we might feel burdened and we are stuck...we are confused...not able to make any decision...we feel lonely and lost. That's when counselling might be a way forward.
For me, counselling is a process, a collaboration between you and me. I will not give you advice on what is best for you or how to live your life. We will work together; we might explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviours to help you get insight and a better understanding of yourself and your needs. I can provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space to talk about things that are troubling and concerning you.
I understand that starting counselling could be concerning; I will give you time to go at your own pace and full attention for you to explore what is troubling you and what matters for you. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds and I have had supported people with a broad range of issues.
Due to COVID-19, my practice has been moved to online, I offer sessions via 'Vsee' program.
If you have any questions, would like further information, please let me know and we can talk it over.
Practice descriptionI am person-centred counsellor incorporating expressive arts into my practice. The Person-Centred approach and Art are my passions. These two disciplines are in accord with my heart and philosophy, I combine both in my therapeutic work with individuals and groups.
I do believe, working creatively in a person-centred way will facilitate the development of self-awareness and provide the capacity to address the current issues in a person’s life. Knowing yourself and getting clarity about your situation can provide the foundation for change.
I gained a PG Diploma in Counselling Skills ( Person-Centred) from The Norwich Centre, following completion of the Post-Graduate Certificate from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the BA degree in Fine Art from NUA.
The completed counselling training is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
