About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist with particular experience in helping people with anxiety, depression, low self confidence, addiction and bereavement.

I offer short and long term counselling to adults and young people (aged 12+) from comfortable therapy rooms in the centre of Bath, providing a safe and confidential place to meet. I work during the day and evenings.

I work face-to-face, over the internet, by phone, and by walk-and-talk, and provide both short and long term counselling depending on your needs.

My counselling approach will give you the time and space to talk about whatever is troubling you, and for you to be really heard and understood. I will try to help you resolve your concerns by building a relationship where you feel completely accepted and supported without judgement.

Practice description

I have been working 1:1 with people in various ways for the last 30 years including outplacement counselling, coaching, and counselling.

Apart from my counselling qualification I have a degree in Psychology, an MSc in Human Resource Management, and a Diploma in Coaching.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, I am a member of BACP and i'm fully qualified and insured. I receive monthly supervision to ensure I continue to develop and my work remains safe.

My first session

Your first session gives you and I the time to find out if you and I are suited to working together. You will have time to talk about what has brought you to counselling, to ask questions about me, and to voice any worries or other feelings you may have about starting counselling.

We will also talk about the practicalities of working together including what days and times we might meet, how often we'll meet, the cost, confidentiality, and cancellation arrangements amongst other things.
