Thank you for considering me as your therapist.

I offer remote virtual therapy sessions using Microsoft Teams or if prefferred, by telephone.

My working days are currently Monday and Wednesday and I offer sessions throughout the day and evening.

About me and my therapy practice

My work as a BACP (Accred) Counselling Psychotherapist addresses the needs of a wide diversity of people. I am able to provide support to adults, younger adults and teenagers. Through my online practice I offer both short-term and long-term person-centred counselling depending on the specific requirements of your therapeutic needs. My experience also means that I can incorporate solution-based coping strategies where appropriate.

I provide people in need of counselling support with the necessary help to enable constructive shifts in their situations and to facilitate positive changes in their lives. My training and professional focus is upon offering clients a humanistic, person-centred approach to counselling. This means a significant emphasis is placed on the therapeutic relationship whereby you, the client, can feel safe, supported and understood and, therefore, begin to explore and talk about the issues that are impacting on you during this stage in your life, secure in the knowledge that you are being heard by an empathic, compassionate and ethical professional.

While working as a Counselling Psychotherapist at the Pathways Families in Crisis Centre I provided successful counselling support to clients who had experienced domestic abuse, trauma, anxiety, relationship breakdowns, depression and addictions.

Alongside my private practice I am currently employed as a Counselling Psychotherapist at The Market Place, Leeds, where I counsel young adults and children who are experiencing emotional distress. In this role I incorporate creative and solution-based therapeutic counselling methods when appropriate. I have supported many young people in crisis to successfully work through a range of challenging issues.

Practice description

I currently offer remote counselling sessions using Microsoft Teams and telephone.

My working days are Monday and Wednesday and sessions are fifty-minutes.

I charge £45 per counselling session.

Having successfully offered remote sessions for many years, I am confident that therapeutic change can be attained through virtual sessions.

If you would like remote sessions from the comfort of your home, then please feel free to contact me to have a discussion about your therapeutic needs and goals. To make contact please email me at

The field of creativity formed a significant part of my undergraduate and post-graduate degrees and continues to be an ongoing interest of mine. Having completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in fine art practice at the University of Leeds I worked at Leeds Arts University offering support to students in a creative therapeutic context. My experience in art as a means to therapeutic gain enables me to invite all my clients (who may wish to do so) opportunities to explore, create and share therapeutic approaches using creative means.

I have successfully worked in private practice for many years working with a diverse range of clients from all backgrounds. This has included working with student counsellors, elderly clients, clients from many different cultural backgrounds as well as LGBTIQA+ clients.

My role as an NHS Clinician based at Mind Mate Spa has also informed my knowledge and experience in relation to supporting people living with mental health challenges.

A rigorous ethical approach upheld by sanctioned professional standards underpins every aspect of my work as a Counselling Psychotherapist accredited by The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I can also offer a reduced cost for people on low incomes and for student counsellors.

My first session

Prior to a first session, I offer a free thirty-minute telephone discussion so that we can both decide whether a first session is appropriate for you moving forward.

During this information gathering, we can discuss how many sessions you may want and what you would like to focus on in your sessions.

This is also an opportunity to discuss how therapy works, including issues such as confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulation.

This initial consultation also allows for you to ask me any questions that you may have, as well as discussing your goals and hopes for therapy.

Once you have had a consultation, you can decide whether you would like to embark on your therapeutic journey with me as your therapist.

If you decide to book a first session, I will send you a counselling contract to read through as well as a personal information request form.

Once this has been completed we can book a day and time for our first session.
