I am counselling nationally, online, at this time also available for telephone counselling.   I would be happy to talk you through the options, no obligation.

About me and my therapy practice

Counselling with me will offer you a safe, supportive, space to explore some or all of what is going on in your life. You will gain understanding of your thoughts and feelings. This will give you choices and options that will enable you to handle emotions better and decide when you are ready to move on to a more positive place.

Still wondering who to choose? At our first session we will briefly discuss our counselling agreement, this includes confidentiality and GDPR and, as we discuss this, it will give us time to relax.

Then, we will broadly outline the reasons for your visit. It is important to me that you feel comfortable, when we are working together so the chemistry between us is important. After 20 minutes, I will ask you if you wish to continue?

If you don't wish to continue, no problem, no further questions - such as why not, the session stops and a full refund is given. I really do understand it's hard to sit in the counselling chair and it's best to do it when ready.

If you say yes, you wish to continue, our therapeutic journey together will begin.

I work with individuals as they explore, reconnect or re-discover themselves and with couples, who then either reconnect in a more positive framework or disconnect but in a more constructive way than previously.

Counselling young people to encourage and enable them to develop a more resilient attitude to life by recognising their strengths and being able to express themselves.

I also offer Single Session Therapy - one session, up to 100 minutes, to work on one issue (not suitable for addictions). To explore an issue in-depth and the possible resolutions, maybe look at all the achievable solutions and then create an action plan moving forward.

Practice description

I have accrued considerable counselling experience from over fifteen years in private practice and from my time in secondary schools, Children’s Centres, work settings and, in couples work, gained from over ten years working with the Relate organisation, as a relationship and young person's counsellor.

I am an integrative counsellor. Integrative, which in my case, means using a mix of several counselling theories, depending on your needs.

This means I can work with you on issues from the past, present or fears for the future. I believe the more therapeutic tools I have, the more options this gives me when working with you.

I also have qualifications in and experience working with NLP and Mindfulness.

All this training and experience means I have the flexibility to tailor my service to you, as an individual, couple, young person, EAP or group, to better meet your needs.

I have worked on issues from anxiety, bereavement, depression to low self esteem and trauma. Some people have a difficult decision to make and some have had a recent loss – this isn’t always a death, but it’s an unwanted ending of some kind.

Everyone is welcome and no problem is too small – if it’s an issue to you, with my experience, I hope to help.

Being an older counsellor probably helps too as I have a lot of life experience and have gained insights into many areas.

I aspire for our counselling time together to become a safe place and for our therapy to provide you with the time and space you need to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, fully supported, as you heal and then YOU decide on your future path.

My first session

I offer online and telephone counselling at the moment (but I will include face to face in the hope that it won't be too long before it's an option again).

I send you our counselling agreement once we have agreed a day and time.  This outlines confidentiality and GDPR and helps keep admin on the day to a minimum.

My dedicated counselling room (f you come to me) is up a flight of stairs into a comfortable room with two easy chairs and a two seater sofa.

I offer all my adult clients a twenty minutes window to see if they can feel comfortable (I think chemistry between client and counsellor is so important, even online or via the phone).   We will then discuss the counselling agreement we will be working within, confidentiality and any initial queries you have.  We will then broadly outline your reasons for this session and then, after twenty minutes - I will ask if you wish to continue and if you do not feel comfortable at this point, the session can end and you will receive a full refund, same day.

Hopefully, this will give you the confidence to proceed - the first step can be hard enough without worrying you will waste your money too!

Young People go through a one hour assessment process so sadly I cannot offer them the same twenty minute option, at this time.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am an integrative supervisor with a few spaces free during the daytime so, I am making this special offer - six sessions as an individual for £30 per hour, online, by telephone or face to face supervision or six sessions as a group, online supervision attendee at £10 per hour.

I am down to earth, I have a good sense of humour and I will mostly work collaboratively with you. Please feel free to contact me for more information, no obligation and find out if we'd be a good fit.

I've worked as an integrative counsellor in private practice since 2006. I joined Relate in 2011, working systemically with individuals, relationships and worked in a secondary school for three years with young people. I have gained a huge bank of experience. I also work with groups, as a facilitator for programmes working with male perpetrators of domestic violence - so I have a lot of experience with groups.

Now I have my Post Graduate Supervision Certificate I am hoping for supervisees from therapeutic and non therapeutic environments and, when there is enough interest, I want to develop a small supervision group - from four up to six for online supervision - to encourage some interest, I am offering six sessions with discounted fees (33% reduction) for both individual and group supervision.

I am offering flexible supervision to meet your needs so you tell me whether you need fortnightly, monthly, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and for individual supervision - online, telephone or face to face.

Practice description

I supervise and am a Relationship supervisor, couples supervisor, adults supervisor, young people supervisor, Systemic supervisor, integrative supervisor, group supervisor, online supervisor, telephone supervisor, face to face supervisor, individuals supervisor, professionals supervisor, teachers supervisor and social worker supervisor.

I use the Seven Eyed Supervision Model - this was developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet in 1985, who integrated the relational and systematic aspects of supervision in a single theoretical model. The model is relational because it focuses on the relationship between the client, therapist and supervisor and systemic because it focuses on the interplay between each relationship and their context within the wider system.

I am experienced working with groups - Separated Parents Information Programme and now Male Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse for many years, most of these attendees do not want to be there at first, so it has been challenging in one way that I am sure group supervision wont be!

If you are interested, please contact me for more information and let me know if you would prefer individual or group (or both) supervision, whether you would prefer 60, 90 minutes or if if an individual telephone, online or face to face.

Group only offered online at this time but for up to 120 minutes monthly or small groups for one hour per fortnight.

Please contact me to discussion / check if we are a good fit - no obligation

My first session

This would depend in if one to one supervision or group but a copy of the supervision contract will be emailed to you prior to the first session and a few minutes will be taken to review as will any issues / concerns and then the supervision will begin - hopefully soon
