About me and my therapy practice
Change isn't easy. But the right help can...help.
Due to the coronavirus/Covid-19 situation, I am currently offering sessions online rather than in my Hammersmith consulting room.
I work with women and men experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, prenatal and postnatal emotional difficulties, feeling disconnected or fragmented, struggling to find meaning or motivation, and other complex issues.
The process involves expressing what is troubling you, thinking together about stresses, conflicts, emotions, thoughts, behaviours, fears and losses.
We can reflect on past and present patterns, and explore different ways of feeling, being and managing.
Sometimes we will be in conversation, sometimes I will simply listen.
From time to time we will review our work, aiming towards increased resilience, reduced distress and more satisfying relationships with the people who matter to you. Effectiveness depends on your developmental history, current difficulties, regularity of session attendance, our relationship and other factors.
My approach has a relational-developmental psychodynamic core, integrated with elements of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and mindfulness, informed by neuroscience.
I trained at Metanoia Institute. I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
If you are considering psychotherapy/counselling, please get in touch using the contact form and we can arrange an initial phone conversation.
