About me and my therapy practice
Well done for making this first step! Starting counselling can feel daunting. Am i the right counsellor for you?
I have particular expertise supporting around gender diversity, sexuality, relationship diversity, childhood/relationship abuse, identity issues and young people. I hold a Masters degree in Gender, Sexuality and Culture and am also accredited by Pink Therapy. I strive to provide a safe (as possible) space around all diversity including disability, class, neurodiversity and am committed ongoing development such as anti-racist work.
I've been counselling for numerous years in charities and private practice and am very experienced supporting in a variety of topics. I am also a supervisor of other practitioners. Please see my website for further information.
I aim to create a warm and welcoming space for you to talk about whatever's on your mind. The way I work could be described as 'client-led' and exploratory-I am here to listen, I strive to understand how you feel-and we will explore what's going on for you together. I explain more about what to expect in the initial session.
While everyone's experience is unique, many people experience this style of counselling as a supportive space where they can express and explore their thoughts and feelings in ways that give relief, clarity, support, better self-knowledge and often ideas for moving forward.
I’m senior accredited by the BACP. This means that my work has been assessed and recognised as meeting a high standard set by this key professional counselling body. As such you can feel confident that I am a competent and ethical practitioner.
I currently offer sessions over Zoom, IM, E-mail, or phone across the UK and beyond.
