About me and my therapy practice
I am a UKCP Accredited/MBACP Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor working in NW10, NW6 and EC4. I work one to one with adults either in a therapy room setting or outdoors walking in a green space. You may be experiencing a relationship breakup/conflict, bereavement (inc. miscarriage/abortion), or stressful life changes. You might be feeling stuck, unhappy, lonely, angry or suffering with low self-esteem. We can explore your feelings, possible connections between past and present and how to find ways forward to help you to feel better.
I have worked with many clients who have experienced childhood family disruption (loss/divorce) which impacts their relationships and way of being now, be that feeling anxious, depressed, or lonely. My aim is to build a comfortable working relationship that enables you to feel safe and be open to talking freely with me. I am experienced in working with loss of a parent or a physically/emotionally absent parent. I have completed a Masters Dissertation on absent fathers.
An initial assessment/appointment allows me to see if I can help you and gives you the opportunity to see if you are comfortable with me. If you are interested in walking and talking in a green space we can discuss this at the initial appointment which will be in a therapy room. Walking and talking is not suitable for all clients and will depend on your difficulty and other practicalities.
As a yoga/mindfulness teacher I can also offer mindfulness as part of a session or as a series of focussed sessions. Please see my yoga website if you think this is something you would like to do instead of psychotherapy/counselling (http://www.thinkfeelbe.co.uk) . Please note: I may not work with you as a private client if you would like to come to the restorative yoga class I teach.
