About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred counsellor meaning I work with you to help you understand what you need to be where you want to be in life rather than working with specific problems. I will provide, to the best of my ability, counselling sessions that endeavour to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment, where you can explore any issues that are causing you anxiety or emotional distress, and in which you will be given time and space to understand and gain insight into what is troubling you. This process can foster growth and lead to positive change in your life. I will not be in a position to offer advice. My role is to walk with you as you explore what is going on in your life and to support you to make the changes that may be needed to help you move towards your goals.
I have experience of both face-to-face and online counselling work with adults and young people aged 11-25. I have the fullest commitment to offering a service which is welcoming to all backgrounds in a supportive and non-discriminatory manner.
I work both face to face and online via zoom with adults and young people aged 11+ from my private garden cabin with driveway parking. Our initial appointment will include some questions to help my understanding of how I can help you find a way forward with what has brought you to counselling and allow you to get a feel for me and the way I work so you can decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
The therapeutic relationship is incredibly important is helping you feel safe enough to talk about the things that important to you and that you need help with.
