My working days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
I have some availability for face to face appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays in Kings Hill.
I have some availability for telephone and zoom appointments.
My normal working hours are between 9 and 5 but I can offer some later appointments via zoom and telephone on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
About me and my therapy practice
If you are struggling with issues such as anxiety and depression, talking to someone can often help. I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor offering professional, safe and supportive counselling.
Having experienced the counselling process myself, I understand how difficult it can be to make that first step in seeking some support from a stranger. My hope is that I can make that first step a little easier for you by allowing you to feel understood and heard without any judgement. I have also experienced from both sides of the therapeutic counselling relationship what an empowering and transformative process it can be.
I have experience of working long term with clients but also with clients whose sessions have been short term (6- 8 weeks) where I draw more on my solution focused brief therapy skills, working in the here and now, with their immediate issues.
Many clients, with no prior knowledge of counselling, believe that counsellors will sort their problems out for them. As a person-centred counsellor, I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence.
During our sessions I will help you to realise what resources and support are available to you that you can use to work through your own issues, build your self-confidence and appreciate that you always have options. I will treat you as the expert on yourself, as no-one else knows exactly what it’s like to be you.
I will not judge you, no matter what you bring to the session and endeavour to build a trustworthy relationship in which you can feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling you. Through empathy, honesty and acceptance, I believe that I can help you grow and develop, to empower you to live your life how you want to live it.
