About me and my therapy practice

I am an intuitive, empathic therapist offering a compassionate space for you to feel seen and heard. I have an empowering, mindful approach that can help you to explore what’s going on, build inner resources and increase self awareness. I can support you to develop the ability to reflect and understand yourself in depth. By learning to take a step back and observe what’s happening within, we can widen our field of choice and open up possibilities for responding differently to situations that we face. I encourage cultivating compassion towards yourself and building tools for self care.

Each person who comes for therapy is unique. Therefore, I tailor my approach to be in resonance with who you are. Therapy in the humanistic tradition is about the relationship has formed between therapist and client, and this is central to how I work. I work at depth which means that I will help you to get to the roots of the dilemmas that you are facing. By going to the roots, we can see where problems originate and how we can tend to our own inner world in a way that makes lasting change.

Practice description

I am available to support you during these challenging times of Covid-19 via online sessions. When face to face sessions resume, I am based in London Bridge and Hove. I offer short and long term therapy to help you to navigate whatever difficulties you may be facing.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. Psychosythesis is a humanistic therapy with psychodynamic roots. It draws upon a wide range of tools including meditation, breath work, body centred approach, creativity and mindfulness.

Prior to training as a Psychosynthesis therapist, I have many years experience of supporting clients using spiritual counselling and coaching to make more empowered choices and develop compassion responses to pain and struggles. I’ve worked In the field of mental health at managerial level, supporting vulnerable clients through complex issues such as homelessness and addiction. I have practised meditation for over 25 years, and lead workshops on topics such as archetypes, ritual and myth.

My first session

The first session with me comprises of an initial assessment, where we explore together your background and reasons for coming for therapy. The first session has therapeutic value in itself, and will give you a sense of what I offer. After this assessment, we make a mutual decision as to whether working together feels appropriate. I suggest making an initial commitment of 6-12 sessions, and then we can review. I offer a 15 minute telephone consultation free of charge prior to booking a first session.
