About me and my therapy practice

Hello. I am a BACP registered counsellor offering a confidential and supportive space to talk about whatever is troubling you. That may be something specific, such as anxiety, depression or relationship issues, or a more general feeling that things aren't right that you can't quite put your finger on.

I work in a warm and empathic way to explore your thoughts and feelings. I won't judge or tell you what to do. When we feel stuck it can be hard to change things or to find a way out. I therefore seek to help you make sense of your situation, to gain awareness of how you relate to yourself and others and ultimately increase your ability to make the changes in your life that you want to make.

Practice description

I am currently working online, via Zoom, due to COVID restrictions

I recommend weekly counselling sessions at a regular time each week as my experience has shown that this is most effective. Sessions last 50 minutes and we will work with whatever challenges you are facing in a supportive, non-judgemental and empathic way and at your pace.

Through counselling I aim to support you to gain more self awareness, self compassion and choice in how you respond to the inevitable challenges of life.

My first session

I offer a reduced price initial consultation for £20 during which we will discuss what brought you to counselling, a bit about how I work and the practicalities of counselling. Feel free to ask any questions you may have or raise any concerns or worries. You can then decide if you want to continue working together.
