About me and my therapy practice
As a person centred therapist I will always work in a way where, ultimately, I believe “you know what is right for you”. I will always be guided by you and we will work with what feels right for you.
The most important part of therapy is my relationship with my client.
My primary training style is “humanistic and existential” therapy. I work with an integrative approach, drawing skills from other modalities which always depend on what I think will benefit you the most.
I work with my clients to either help them find that part of themselves, or to assist in bringing back that part of themselves, that they have disconnected with, and is maybe causing problems in day-to-day life and has stopped them from knowing “what is right for them”.
Some people come to therapy with a clear understanding of what is going wrong for them in their life; be-it an illness, death, relationship break down, redundancy etc. and want to make some changes in their life.
Sometimes we just don’t know what’s wrong, but for example are feeling anxious, sad, unable to sleep, unable to eat, eating too much, engaging in addictive activities, stuck or just unhappy with life and have no understanding as to why we feel this way.
Whatever is going on for you, at this point in your life, I am here to help you.
I have a broad experience of working with children, young adults and adults with a range of issues
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with adults and young people with OCD.
Change to current practice due to COVID-19.
I am offering sessions online via Zoom, telephone and a limited number of face to face sessions.
I am currently offering free sessions to NHS staff who are working directly with patients affected by COVID-19. I do have limited slots which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
My first session
I offer a free initial consultation for 30 minutes, after which we can then both decide If we are happy to continue working together.
