About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for looking at my page, 

I am a person centered/integrative therapist, with 14 years of experience in supporting individuals, couples and groups.

My approach is holistic and non directive. This means that I consider each person as a unique individual with their own personal perspective on their problems and anxieties.

As a therapist I invite clients to focus more on their unique gifts and attributes encouraging empowerment and self determination rather than pre ‘diagnosis’ or disorders. I feel that this gives my clients a ‘clean page’ to explore who they are.

believe in the importance of the relationship between two people, which facilitates  the healing process. I therefore feel it is important  that my clients feel comfortable in our dynamic in order to gain the confidence to change.

 By providing a safe non judgmental environment, with positive regard, empathy and authenticity, we can work towards a healthy and healing alliance. 

Through learning your own unique language and emotional landscape, we gain confidence in accessing and expressing sometimes difficult or painful feelings and therefore flourish into our full potential.

Practice description

I work in a very relaxed manner. I endeavour to allow my clients to feel that they can show up and be themselves first and foremost. 

I therefore try to be as congruent and open allowing space for exploration of feelings and emotions. 

My structure and safe keeping will be about good time keeping ,clear communication around renumeration of our session work and assurance of the ethical framework and confidentiality.

 I feel that as I will be holding the space,  these ‘boundaries’ are my responsibility to upkeep in order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

My first session

Our first session offers us the opportunity to introduce ourselves face to face, or by call and look at some of the initial problems you may wish to explore. 

I invite my clients to feel that it is more important to feel relaxed with no expectation of ‘what to bring’ but rather allow our first meeting to see how we connect and communicate together.

I will explain in more detail how I work and allow you the time to decide if my style of therapy works for you.
