Life can be complex and difficult and the navigation of the tricky times can sometimes feel overwhelming. Counselling can help with this. I will listen to all that you want to say without judgement but with kindness and consideration.  It could be that you are feeling anxious and that unhelpful thoughts are getting in the way of your every day life. Or maybe you feel depressed and lacking in motivation to engage with the world. Some people come into counselling because life has taken an unexpected and difficult turn, talking about what is happening with an experienced counsellor like me, can be hugely beneficial. Together we will unpack the difficulties and allow you the space  to learn more about yourself and how things could be different. I offer an introductory session at a discounted price so that you have the chance to get to know me a little before starting therapy. My original career was in advertising and during this time I worked for the Samaritans. Having started my new career in 2011, I gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the University Of Brighton in 2016. I currently work both in private practice and at a charity supporting those who have experienced pregnancy related loss. I have also worked in colleges as a school counsellor. I am a humanistic person centred therapist,

I am a registered member of the BACP and I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals. I am fully insured. 

 I offer general counselling and have experience of working with, amongst other issues, depression, anxiety, self harm, panic attacks, bereavement and relationship issues.

I have worked at a local charity for the last 8 years supporting individuals and couples who have experienced pregnancy related loss. Unfortunately that charity has now closed, however, I am continuing this work in my private practice.

I am able to offer sessions in Hove and online. My usual rate is £50 for 50 minutes for individuals. I can offer bereavement counselling for couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, and this is charged at £60.

The first session will be charged at £25 and will give us a chance to get to get to know each other and hopefully for you to feel comfortable about starting therapy with me.  I don't do a formal assessment as such but will ask you a few questions just to make sure that I am the the most suitable option for you at this time.
