About me and my therapy practice

Counselling or therapy can help to resolve a wide range of issues. You may be feeling sad, angry or depressed; stressed, anxious, stuck in someway or you may be experiencing relationship problems. There is nothing too big or too small to bring to counselling. If it is causing you to feel unhappy, then it is worth exploring.

My role, as your counsellor, is to help you work through and come to terms with whatever is causing you distress. It’s a journey and a process that unfolds with time and through working together at a pace that you are comfortable with. I will listen, guide and support you as we start to identify what might be needed.

Practice description

I practice an integrated approach and tailor it for each individual client, using both person-centred and psychodynamic theory to inform my work, as well as CBT techniques where appropriate.

Online sessions are charged at £50 per session, and face to face sessions are £60 per session.

My first session

I like to use the first session as an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for me to understand a bit more about what is bringing you to therapy and for you to decide whether you feel I'm the right person to support you. You can ask as many questions as you want and I also tend to ask more questions in the first session than in any other. First sessions are usually relaxed and should leave you feeling reassured and comfortable about proceeding with the work.
